My Princess.

Isn't she pretty?
My princess is 4 now.
She is so generous, creative, sweet, sensitive... I am so proud of her :)

My Blue Prince.

The little guy with the blue shirt is my boy.
He is only two and this photo is from his first day at preschool.
This is the only photo of him where he looks so relaxed :)
The rest of the time he was crying :o
But he won't remmember anything when he grows up!
I absolutely adore him!

ps:Today is January 22 of 2008. And this post was written in September of last year.
A few days after I took this photo we found out that our little boy is Autistic. It was devastating for us but we are fine now and he is doing amazing!!!

The Entry

Another photograph from the series "Diary"
This photo is about fears and the title is: "The Entry".
I think that many times fears come from our lack of knowlegment.
Once we get to understand things better our fears go away.
The seashell here symbolizes the unknown side of life.
The little woman is ready to enter the seashell in order to explore
that unknown reality.
(the source of light for this photo was a flashlight)

Threat.

When I first moved to the USA in 2001 I didn't know anything about
photography. One of my dreams was to learn photography as a
new medium for my work. I self-taught all the things that I know
today through experimentation, books, the internet and talking
with friends that are professional photographers.
There are so many ways to do photography. Your imagination is
the only limit. In my case I like to create particular situations with
the use of objects and light.

This photo is part of the series "Diary" (2004)
The title of this photo in particular is: "Threat".
Do you know that feeling when you are in the wrong
place doing the wrong thing?
This photo is about finding the right place for you in life.

Cuerpo de Cristal.

I wanted to show you this sculpture.
It is part of a group of musical boxes that I made for
another solo show in 2004.
It has a tiny musical box included.
The body of the woman is a glass bottle that I found somewhere.
It has also some porcelain objects that I made etc.
It is about fragility.

Woman Carrying Two Drops.

Another piece for my solo show next month.
This one is part of the series "Second Nature".
Materials: paperclay, felt, cold porcelain and
a laminated photograph.
It is small, like the size of your hand.

My Solo Show Opens: October 20, 2007

This is one of the pieces for my solo show next month.
It is part of a series and it goes framed in a shadow box.
Some of the materials used: paperclay, felt, cold porcelain,
laminated paper, one ferrotype etc.
The tittle is "Second Nature"
